Recently I wrote a post on Seasonal affective Disorder, yesterday I came across this video yesterday that offered additional information on how combat the effects of the “Winter Blues.”
Among the top six strategies are things you may never thought of as being helpful? Take up a new hobby – learn something new. By focusing on something new can take your mind off your “blues.” Why not begin making plans for a Spring Garden – after all winter can’t last forever, right? Making plans for outdoor activities will make it seem within reach. Discover auctions and indoor flea markets, who said these are only summer activities? Take the time inside to redecorate a favorite room or the whole house.
The options are endless, but the most important thing to remember is you are not alone – many people suffer from Seasonal affective disorder or the Winter Blues – the goal is to find what works best for you.
